I'll save the whole rant, as I've actually covered this already (search the archives for "PBSing"), but House republicans have again voted to eliminate funding for public broadcasting (NPR, PBS). If this gets pushed through, funding will be completely stopped in two years.

Though at this point, it's perhaps a symbolic gesture, please sign the MoveOn petition to save public broadcasting, our last outlet for a free press that isn't whipped by corporate sponsorship:
